Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is a very interesting class that will open your eyes to the way society interacts within. It helps you understand things like other subcultures and the agents of sociology.

    Course highlights:

From taking this course I learned that thinking with an open mind is a very important thing to do. That just because something is different from how I would do it or anyone in my culture for that matter doesn't mean that they do it the wrong way.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed within this course you have to be able to work together with other students and be able to help them if needed. You need to be able to take rather good notes. Also you would need to make sure you keep up on the readings.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Not only is it a prerequisite class, it also is really interesting and is extremely useful for any field you plan to be in. This class is especially useful when going into advertising or interaction based careers.

    Course highlights:

I really enjoyed the advertising, and color meanings, as well as the demographics over the world. For example, I would have never known that the color red in advertising invokes hunger and desire. Or else Blue suggests serenity and peacefulness.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go into this class with an open mind. This class is unlike most in the respects that the respects that the teacher is very easy going, but at the same time strict. Expect to learn while having fun, not only memorize information.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class will open your eyes to many phenomena in society that we typically take for granted. However, it is quite a bit of work.

    Course highlights:

I learned about marriage and family, education, government, economics, and many other social institutions and how they affect our lives.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Read the textbook! Many of the quiz questions will come directly from the textbook.
