    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This was the first class I ever took at OCC, and I really enjoyed it! The course was interesting and engaging and I highly recommend it for anyone interested in history or science.

    Course highlights:

For me, I liked learning about the human history aspects, but we also learned a lot about different cultures and languages.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

There is a presentation at the end...pick your topic early on! Nothing in this class is too difficult, but I would suggest planning ahead instead of waiting until the last minute to pick a topic for your presentation. It will be so much more fun if you choose a topic you're interested in!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class was really good. Ms Habib was very knowledgeable about different cultures and ethnicity. She was open minded and a good listener. She was not very consistent about grading, but she was an easy grader.

    Course highlights:

I learned that the classification of human beings into races can bring serious problems. The concept "ethnicity" is more comprehensive and it should replace the concept "race," which has some hierarchical connotations. The concept race can be the basis of racism in many occasions.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the readings because she would ask questions in class.
