This class was tough.
I have always had to work harder when it comes to math classes (to me physics is math, although some regard it as science). So it's important for me to have an instructor who can articulate the subject matter clearly. I believe that Prof. Martin was able to do that and he was willing to spend the extra time to explain anything that I wasn't able to fully grasp during the lecture, so overall I would recommend him.
Although I can't say that I use much of the knowledge that I learned in this class on a daily basis, I had to take it because the course was required for the program I was working to get into. The professor told interesting stories from his life that correlated the physics problems to real life examples, this definitely helped me learn some of the more difficult subject matter.

Advice for students:
If you enjoy physics and quickly grasp new math concepts than this may not apply to you as much, however if you're like me and struggle a little more with math that this class will definitly be difficult. But not because of the professor, physocs is a hard class in general. I suggest attending all classes and actively listening. Also there is a lab project due every week that is done with a group. My group met every Friday to write up the lab. For me this added several hours to the amount of time spent on the course.
