    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is not easy! However, if you put in the work, be an active student, and attend class, you will succeed!

    Course highlights:

Professor Stark is very knowledgeable and approachable. When he sees a student that cares, he will care in return and be there to help.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It is not a blow-off class, so be ready to do a lot of reading, writing and especially thinking!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Taking Ethics with Dr. Stark was one of the best decisions I ever made. This class is extremely easy to do well in. I was able to earn a high A and the next two semesters I worked as the SI for the class. If you enjoy philosophy this is a great course.

    Course highlights:

You learn very basic concepts that you will learn in any introductory Ethics course like Euthyphro and Affirmative Action. I found the lectures with applied Ethics to be the most interesting, concepts like euthanasia and abortion.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

This is not a blow off class but it also shouldn't be the hardest class. I would put in the effort, you get what you put in.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Strand cares about his students and wants to make sure you do well and understand the material in his class. However, make sure you read the text, otherwise you won't do well.

    Course highlights:

The best part about this course is the in class debates that take place every class. They are what help you really understand the material. The class is very dependent on the students reading the text to be successful. From which I have learned better reading skills for my classes (which I never had before) and how to make time for reading the text, and study for other classes too.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't get behind in reading the text if you are going to class full time, because depending on your work load you might not have enough time to go back and learn what you missed. Read the text before the next class because you will be quizzed on it before discussing it.
