    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

She's a great professor who truly cares about her student, but her exams are very tricky

    Course highlights:

She explained the material very well. While doing practice questions I immediately knew the answers

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Go over her lecture notes 3 times before exams+ go over the questions from lecture slides

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Swartz is a very intelligent man however, he was not the greatest teacher. He missed many class periods and when he was lecturing he would go on long tangents and rarely write notes. He did not follow the book at all and would not follow his own powerpoints he uploaded. He did make the midterms fair and also the group projects.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about Macro Econ and how it relates to business

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Review the powerpoint and the read the book before coming to class and take lots of notes

    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Most people take ECON 351 because it is required, so you don't really have a choice. However, you do have a choice regarding your attitude and performance. You really have to be focused and hardworking to do well in this class, and it is still difficult. However, the professor is extremely accessible and available, and there are plenty of tutor programs to help struggling students. Overall, if you want to do well, you can-but it is not easy.

    Course highlights:

I not only learned a lot about economics, but I also learned a lot about time management and study techniques when taking this class. For the most part, it is very individual-driven, so there is really no group work or class discussions; it is up to you to do well. If you want to learn and do well, you'll have a great experience with this class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to work hard to succeed in this class. Do not let your work pile up until the day before the test, or you are almost guaranteed to perform poorly. Do the practice questions, and do them as the course goes along; do not save them for the very end when it is too late. Also, I recommend making "study sheets." These helped me a lot. Basically, use one side of one piece of paper to write a summary of each chapter; decorate it, include important formulas, graphs, and/or concepts. It really helped me for the tests.
