Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

She is a really nice and approachable person to talk to, and she is passionate about teaching economics. Her tests are pretty tough and you need to study a lot. But if you go to her office hours, she'll explain what you're confused about really well. She encourages students to do well.

    Course highlights:

Consumption, Production, PPF, Cost constraint, Perfectly competitive market, Monopoly, Price discrimination, Oligopoly, Monopolistic, Game Theory

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study a lot, go to her office hours, do her study guides

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Definitely wouldn't recommend this course to anyone. However, being a business major I know that it is mandatory. If you are in Marshall, I would highly recommend NOT taking it with Durgurner. She is horrible.

    Course highlights:

Honestly, I wish I could tell you I learned valuable information in this class. I learned more from reading the book and powerpoint slides than I did going to lecture. You will learn the basics, but not much more.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to study and go to peer tutoring for this course. If you think you are going to do well just because you took econ in high school or at a different college, you're wrong. Make sure to put in effort.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a great business course if you ar interested in Micro Economics. Prof. Akbulut uses very helpful slides and comprehensive descriptions to help understand the subject.

    Course highlights:

The section of this course on the long run and short run effects on business, and the effect subsidies and taxes play is very informative and insightful where understanding business structure is involved.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Get a tutor and keep up with the course homework and reading. Understanding the concepts is key, the math is important as well but the focus is more on comprehension of concepts than simple algebra and/or calculus. Yes, I said calculus.
