    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Very good teacher, somewhat strict, very self-taught yet she's always there for you. In depth. Hard tests.

Highlights include true conceptual understanding of economics, as well as deriving graphs and formulas.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

LISTEN TO HER ADVICE! Use the resources she provides you.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you consider yourself a student dedicated to learning and having a full understanding of your classes, econ 351 with Professor Derguner is for you. It's not an easy A. I studied and understood the material really well and still came out with a B+. If you're looking to just take the class to get your credit and move on, I suggest a different professor.

    Course highlights:

She is really into knowing the details. She encourages reading the lectures multiple times and going over her assignments multiple times. So after completing this class, I felt pretty proficient in microeconomics, more than other classes with different professors. She takes time during lecture to make sure everyone is following along, she goes through multiple examples and is always open to questions.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to dedicate time well before the exam to prepare and do the homework as she assigns them. I crammed 2 days before and I underestimated how long it would take to finish the assignments.
