    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is required for all computer science majors which is why I am taking it. I find the course extremely interesting however, the pace is quite fast.

    Course highlights:

I learned so much in this course! Although I am not a proficient programmer yet, I am much closer to being one than I was before.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

If you do not have previous programming experience, be ready to work! Keeping up will be difficult and will require a lot of time in TA office hours, a lot of reading, and a lot of tutorial videos.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it because it gives students a solid understanding of programming basics.

    Course highlights:

A lot of the course is learning concepts in lecture, but the assigned projects are the most empowering parts. It is definitely a struggle to finish projects, but the satisfaction after completion makes it worth doing.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Ask questions! If even the tiniest thing gives you a hard time, it does not hurt to ask a friend or your professor/TA during office hours. Every bit of knowledge helps--especially for major exams.
