    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

For all students interested in information systems who are not currently pursuing an ISE major at Viterbi, this is a great introductory class to information systems used in many Fortune 500 companies! The class uses SAP as the platform to teach and learn from throughout the semester, and there is also a simulation game that is played in the second half to really apply what we've learned into a real-life scenario. Office hours are also a great way to get to know Kale and ask questions about ERP that you might want to know even if he did not teach it in class. Take that opportunity!

    Course highlights:

Kale is very casual with students, although he does have very high requirements for grades. My highlights were the fact that we could ask questions about homework questions we did not understand directly to Kale. Homeworks were very long, which gave us the opportunity to consult with the TA and the professor before it is due.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Reading the book will leave you more prepared and less stressed before the midterm and final, so definitely STUDY. You will definitely have to learn how to use SAP itself during the homework, so pay attention when you do it, or else you will spend more time going over each homework!
