Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Dr. Ferguson changed my career trajectories. She initially comes off as very disciplinarian and can be intimidating. Her resume is super impressive and that results in a little bit of fear amongst students. That being said, once she gets going she proves just how brilliant she is. She inspires students to care. A lot. I came into the class very interested in one career pathway, but became infatuated with public health and non-profits while taking Dr. Ferguson's course. Take every opportunity to get to know Dr. Ferguson. She'll help you, and her passion for the subject is unquestionable.
I learned how to analyze health issues through a more holistic lens. But more important, I learned how to talk about global health. Dr. Ferguson emphasized cultural competence and political correctness which will go a long way in helping many students become competent in the space.

Advice for students:
Get to know Dr. Ferguson and ask questions. Her anecdotes are the things that bring extreme value to the course. She has so much life experience in United Nations work, non-profit work, academia and she brings a ton to the table.
