    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this class for the following reasons: 1. Professor Bemis is very stimulating and cares about her students and their success. 2. There is hardly any homework that you have to turn in. 3. You have a great array of guest speakers that are pretty inspiring. 4. If you attend class, the examples really screw the topics into your brain. Attendance is mandatory and highly recommended to actually learn. The topics are hard but if you pay attention, Bemis makes sure you do well. Negatives: Bemis sucks at responding to emails; you have a much better response probability if you talk to her in person first. Tests are VERY fast. A lot of problems, not a lot of time.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were Professor Bemis and the guest speakers. Bemis has high energy levels and cares a lot. We learn the basics of finance from stocks and bonds to time value of money. Everything builds on itself.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Attendance is definitely mandatory to succeed in this class. I would also recommend making thorough study guides. Additionally, it is helpful to memorize the formulas based on how they are applied (the logic behind them) rather than just pure memorization.
