    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

What is taught in this course is very interesting and important to understand the basis of cinema, but the way Dr. Serna teaches it does not make it very interesting.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about the beginnings of cinema! Since how movies were invented until the invention of sound in film.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Dr. Serna talks very fast, so make sure to pay attention and take A LOT of notes. There are a lot of papers and readings. Make sure that you do the readings EVERY WEEK because you are required to use them to support your arguments in the final take home paper. Your notes will also be helpful for the final, as it is a take home.
