    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It was tough to get through this class but getting through it feels amazing. The course isn't that tough but the assignments are tricky and very stimulating. The course kept us on our toes and we felt like this was the only thing we did last fall, however there were so many cool things we learnt in the most practical and software-techy-geeky way. It was not just theories and neuro jargons, we could see what the professor meant when he spoke every line because he made us soimulate everything on excel (yes, Microsoft excel!) or Matlab! You need a lot of help and group study to get through this, so you make it through and also earn some cool friends! The TA is also super helpful and patient (Madison)!

    Course highlights:

    Simulating Neurons on MS Excel

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Take lighter courses with this. This course takes a lot of your time. Also Dr. Mel words things in a tricky way in the quizzes and papers so be very careful with the wording.
