    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is extremely tough. You cannot get by on memorization, everything is application-based so you have to know the material inside and out to succeed.

    Course highlights:

The labs were really quite enjoyable and provided relief after dense lectures. The course focused on organelles up to the organ systems within the human body.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The course compounds on itself so if you don't understand from the beginning, you're doomed. Really recommend putting a ton of time and effort into the course and learning the material well. If I did it again, I would go to office hours and study as a group, rewrite my lecture notes, rewatch the lectures, etc. STUDY, STUDY, STUDY!

    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to anyone who has an interest in a health career. Dr. Herrera's tests are very challenging and the majority of the test questions are application-based. Also, his lecture slides do not have very much text on them, so you really have to pay attention to what he is saying.

    Course highlights:

I am a pre-med student, and I was very pleased to learn about many of the systems of the body. Although the tests are difficult, there is a generous curve that will boost your grade.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Rewatch the lecture recordings on blackboard, and really pay attention to what he is saying in class; this will be exactly what he will test on.
