Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course if you have any interest in neuropsychology at all. I thought I was going to be overwhelmed with all of the material, but Professor Swihart made it fun! Just take the course and see for yourself!

    Course highlights:

I really enjoyed learning about the sodium potassium pump, and how it works within the body. It was also really interesting to learn about different brain diseases, and how they affect the functionality of an individual. One of my favorite parts was learning about how Alzheimer's affects the brain. Developing a better understanding of the brain has only deepened my passion for wanting to learn even more about this incredible organ.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to be successful in this course, you need to be dedicated to this course. You need to really understand the material and be able to apply in in multiple ways. When you are studying for this class, and you are giving answers, find more than one way to answer a question just to make sure you really understand. When studying, I would also write everything out, and record lectures if you have the equipment to do so. It will take more time, but listen to lectures again. Repetition does help, especially in this class.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Swihart is a phenomenal professor and makes the material easy to learn. He uses real-world applications that help the concepts really click in your brain. He is an extremely intelligent person and gives great lectures. He really does want you to succeed and makes himself very available to assist with anything you need.

    Course highlights:

First of all, Dr. Swihart is just an all-around fantastic professor to have. He kept me encouraged and interested throughout the entire course. I learned so many in-depth things about functions of different cortical and non-cortical structures of the brain, and he made it easy for me to learn!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Use note cards and study them slowly but regularly.
