    | Would not recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would not recommend taking MATH 132A with Sepanski because he was very difficult and would not help you to much in the course. If you do take him make sure to go to the tutoring center if you truly do not understand what is going on in that class.

    Course highlights:

Some highlights of the course was learning how to use the tutoring center at SVSU. I never had to use it before this course but because it was so difficult with this professor I had to. I did learn a lot about basic statistics in this class though and will say I learned a lot.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

My advice for any students taking this course is to try and get a different professor. If you cannot and you have to take him then really use the tutoring center and spend time studying for this class. The material itself is a little harder than the math students are used to taking in high school so you really need to put the time in for this course.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The subject matter really isn't that difficult if you study, but this prof stinks. I did alright in the class but only because I taught myself everything.

    Course highlights:

He splits the semester in 3 parts and the only grades you get are the 3 exams and the final. No cushions with homework or quiz points.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are a natural at math I am sure it'd be easy. If you need lots of examples and homework problems, it is not for you.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend taking the course if it is for your major because you don't have much of a choice there, but I do not recommend taking it with this professor, as he does not include anything taught in lecture on the tests and makes grading extremely difficult.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to better manage my time and homework because this was a harder class for me, so I had to manage extra time for studying on top of all of my other classes.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Meet with the professor as soon as you are given your first assignment to make sure that you are studying properly, understand entirely what you are doing and that you are answering things in the correct format to be answered.
