    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

When it comes to the class itself, beware, you do have to be good with numbers and puzzles. Accounting is a number puzzle, so if either turn you off I would be cautious. Having a great professor makes all the difference though, so if you have to take basic accounting, take it with him! He's very thorough with his explanations and wants you to learn.

    Course highlights:

This course changed my major. I thought I was going to go into a social science, and next thing I know I'm in love with numbers. The problems we tackle in this course feel very applicable to real situations, and it changed how I approach problems. It showed me that everything is connected, and that one single piece of information can completely change the face of the situation. It honestly increased the attention I pay to details.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do practice problems over and over and over. Everything builds in the class, therefore the basics are super important to understand. Also, read the text book and take good notes! Even if you do all the math right, you have to know the rules and such to answer questions for the multiple choice portion.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course was a challenge, but it set the tone for the rest of the courses I took in my associate's degree program. Accounting is a total different mindset. If you can adjust to this type of thinking, you can easily make it through other courses and graduate with honors.

    Course highlights:

I learned how a business works by taking this class. It is easy for one to say a company needs to make decisions because it seems like the most logical solution, but accounting gives organizations the tools on making business decisions.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared for a different way of thinking and some math. There are many reports and mathematic formulas. Take time to study the material and learn the processes and you will be successful.
