    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend Med-Surg because it is the first half of the "meat and potatoes" of nursing, the second half being Advanced Med-Surg.

    Course highlights:

Highlights of this course included exposure to various disease processes as well as to medical emergent conditions such as burns, shock, and sepsis.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Advice for Med-Surg would include to never stop studying and reviewing past notes, as well as to use a recording device in lecture so you can relisten later.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a required course. This class is tough, and if you are not a book reader it is a real challenge to find the best way to study.

    Course highlights:

I had to learn how to be a book reader, how to find the most important information. Every topic is important, and touched on equally. This class requires serious dedication.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study every day! Break up the reading and read a little every single day.
