Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Turchyn's teaching style is excellent. The way she structures and punctuates her sentences and paragraphs while lecturing effectively stores relevent i formation and understanding in the lecturee's mind. The course uses power point slides with memorable images for visual learners as well. The Dr. does not scribble all over the slides either, instead keeping them neat and coherent. Review questions are provided along with Black Board practice exams. Rewatch the exam's lectures before each exam and tour grade WILL improve dramatically.

    Course highlights:

Water properties vital to biology, acidosis and alkalosis. Structures and functions of biological macromolecules. Cell structure and oporation (organelles, transport, junctions). Enzymes, cellular respiration, photosynthesis, cell communication, mitosis, meiosis, inheritance, genetic disease, mutations, replication, transcription, translation.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Print slides, write what the Dr. writes, go over notes once at home. Rewatch lecture (on 1.5 or 2 speed). Rewatch all exam lectures before exam. Go over all notes (the printed slides) before final; write down anything u dont instantly understand/remember and reread itafter finishing the rest of your notes.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Exams are straight from the notes. Easy lectures.

    Course highlights:

Notes are clear because he uses powerpoints 100% of the time.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

One (easy) paper due at the end of the semester. Passed with a B

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

    Very ambiguous grading system...

    Course highlights:

Class is easy, but he gives extra credit and then adjusts the number of total points for it(which defeats the purpose of extra credit).

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not work together, he's extremely anal about academic misconduct.
