Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This discussion course is an amazing opportunity for Honors students. Not only do you get to discover Detroit and its beauty, but you also get to discuss extremely important topics and political issues.

    Course highlights:

I learned so much about Detroit's history, stereotyping and racial/gender segregation. The class also was a challenge and really developed my critical thinking skills.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would definitely take it and really read and highlight the readings.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class is required for freshman in the Honors College at Wayne. Most of the Discussion Lecturers are pretty tough and not interesting to listen to but Buccellato is one of the best. He makes his class engaging, we discuss real world issues in an interesting way, and he's completely straight with his students, he doesn't hide behind the smoke and mirrors of the Honors College or anything like that.

    Course highlights:

HON 1000 focuses on the history of the City of Detroit. You learn a lot about how the city started, the political climate of each important era in the city, and you learn how it affects the city now. We get to compare the past of Detroit to the present through Passport events that happen in places around Detroit.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on top of the readings and assignments, pop quizzes definitely happen in this class. If your papers aren't doing so hot be sure to talk to your lecturer and see what they're looking for.
