This class was tough.
Genetics is a topic any student of biology or medicine needs a good foundation of. The key concepts from this course will reappear in many advanced courses, so a clear understanding is crucial to do well in these courses.
This course reinforced my understanding of DNA replication, transcription and RNA translation. Most importantly, I learned more indebted about different biochemical pathways, mutations, and heritable conditions.

I'd recommend reviewing and studying for the course at least once a day. I think it's more helpful to work on actual story problems, since this course isn't just memorizing information: you need to understand concepts well enough to critically determine the answer. It's also beneficial to study in groups and attend any study sessions or discussion classes offered.
