Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course if you are a nursing student because it is required. Also, it will prepare you for nursing in the real world and for medical surgical nursing part two at Wayne State. Dr. Zimnicki was great and made the content clear and understandable.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were critical thinking and using our knowledge from prior nursing courses to pull the information together. I learned that nursing has a lot to do with using the mind as a tool. Critical thinking and observing is extremely important in the field of nursing. I learned to be confident in the knowledge that I have when it comes to patient care but never put a limit on learning a better way. In addition, I learned that as a nurse I should speak up and advocate for my patients whenever necessary.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

For this course, you will need to review all prior information. You will need to know the pathophysiology, pharmacology and basic care measures when it comes to nursing. All that you have learned before this course will come together and help in the critical thinking process.
