    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

For students who are fans of all music, this course is not only very informative, it is fun. Dr. Jacobson presents years of music knowledge and music theory together with videos and recordings to keep things interesting and enjoyable.

    Course highlights:

This course gave me a much better understanding of the barriers many musicians faced and had to break through to impact the world of music the way that they did.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

As long as you can count on yourself to remember to participate in online quizzes, you will succeed.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is great to learn where the music of today originated. Also a good thing about this class is there is not that much work to do, plus it is interesting information so I never get bored doing the homework.

    Course highlights:

We learned the history of rock music starting in the 1940's, on into the 1980's and then get into some pop music, alternative and rap when we get into the 1990's.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Even though this class may seem easy, do not slack off on the homework and make sure to study a decent amount. You may think you've got all the information down, but once exam time comes around and you do the study guide you realize that this class is a bit more difficult than you thought.
