    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I actually took this course from Dr. White back in 1997. While it was a required course for the Engineering Management M.S. program, I still walked away with a tremendous amount of understanding of cash flow and cost analysis. The course is demanding in terms of time outside of class. The exams were "nail-biters". However, the information you leave with is invaluable.

    Course highlights:

While the course has an emphasis on the economic analysis of Engineering and Manufacturing activities and systems, the general principals learned have been useful to me in preparing business cash flow and cost analysis across a number of businesses. Overall, the lessons learned have helped me across a number of industries and business sectors.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Be ready to work hard. If you don't keep up with the assignments and practices, you will FAIL. Once you get behind, it will be very, very difficult to catch up. Learn how to create and use MS EXCEL macros. This course has weekly spreadsheet assignments.
