    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course taught me that it is possible to conduct a 80 page marketing research paper and presentation for another company within a semester. It was terrifying at first and I thought numerous times "How am I going to do this?" but surely enough my group and I started collecting information from our surveys and secondary data sources. Working in a group taught me personally how to manage and hold one others accountable. It was an amazing process and my group ended up getting a 94% on the entire presentation and paper.

    Course highlights:

A lot of what I learned was said in the "Tell us more!." However I would also like to note that it was my job to contact the company whom we wanted to research. I learned professionalism through multiple emails, phone calls and letters.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not slack off and always hold others accountable. When working in a group it is important to establish what it is that you want out of the course and what grade you are seeking. My group did this and it helped through times that were tough. Also, understand that everyone has excuses and everyone is busy these days but we choose what consider a priority. For a class like this each task that was assigned needed to be considered priority.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it because Mrs. Watson was a great professor. Almost every week she had a guest speakers come to our class and take with us about their careers. It was good for us to have someone who is already established in their career come and give us advice on what we can expect after college.

    Course highlights:

Learning how to figure out who is the target market when watching movies or television commercials. Also, I learned how to write a marketing plan. I feel like it could have been better but for it to have been my first one, it turned out well and I received 900 points of 1000 for it. I've learned that marketing is in everything you do. My major is business management and after taking this marketing course it has helped me understand the concept of how to market my services.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this course students need to show up to class. We were in the book but most of the time it was hands on learning for us.
