    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course! Especially anyone who is looking into the medical field. This course allows you to gather the basic knowledge needed prior to pursuing your program and allows you to see the basics. This class consists of the lecture as well as the lab. Being enrolled in the lab will also help determine whether or not you are heading towards the right field.

    Course highlights:

There are countless different topics that we talked about and were tested over. From the bones, to the muscles, to the way the brain worked, to how we processed information, to the way our body can adapt to change, to specific diseases and disorders, to the processing of prosthetic limbs, as well as how plants and animals survive and adapt. The most interesting thing about Human Anatomy was the lab portion. One reason being we had tremendous models including brains, human body structures, animal and plant cells, detachable bones, skeletons, etc. Another reason is because of the dissections we performed. I personally was able to learn so much and it was easier for me because it was actually real.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

My best advice for anyone who is enrolled in Human Anatomy is to make flash cards! Anatomy is tons of information in a short amount of time. Especially when it comes to learning the bones and the muscles, I highly recommend flash cards! For me I would print images online and glue them to the flash card and color code four bones/muscles per card. This was extremely helpful for me in class and I was able to get everything memorized and I was beyond prepared for the test! Always use your time outside of class wisely! Especially if your teacher is willing to offer a study guide take advantage of it and do the study guide! I promise it will help you so much when it comes time for the test.

    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it gives you more insight into how your body works. This class showed me why you need to take care of yourself because if you do your body will thank you by being healthy.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course was learning about the brain. Learning about the brain was one of my favorites in this class because you learned the best ways to use your brain and how to get the most out of it. I was taught how the brain remembers things and when the best time to learn is. I would always do my homework closer to the evening time whenever I would get home from my extracurricular activities. I felt fine doing my homework then even though I was exhausted but my grades never suffered. When my teacher told us that if you do your homework in the morning or closer to when you wake up, your brain will be more awake and you will remember things a lot more than you would at night. I did not believe her at first but I decided to give it a try and do all my studying for test in the morning. It is safe to say that for now on I will always do my studying in the morning!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

To be able to succeed in this class you will have to have a study buddy. There will be so much information that you will need to memorize and having someone who is in your class that knows what you are studying will help both of you out since you guys can test each other. Another thing that will help you in this course is do not type out your notes. When she is lecturing, write everything that you are supposed to down. Your hand will be tired after, but trust me it will be worth it. Your brain processes and tends to remember things so much better when things are written down because you have to think about every word you are writing.

    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this class because even though it is a lot of information to go over in one semester, it pushes you and makes you a better student.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about human anatomy and physiology. We covered all systems and organs and how they function individually and with each other.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell students to make sure they give the course a proper amount of studying time. Preparing for the lecture and lab exams is vital to pass this class.
