    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The teacher is really passionate about the subject matter and is willing to help look over any content you are confused about.

    Course highlights:

I learned about how to balance chemical reactions, chemical nomenclature, organic chemistry, the kinetics of reactions, periodic trends, and other topics.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Be thorough in all the work that you do, because the teacher holds students to very high standards as an AP class, so triple check your work and seek help to clarify anything you need.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It's really cool to see how the history of the Big Bang overlaps with biology, actual human history, chemistry, and so much more! Additionally, the activities we do may seem pointless to the students at the time, but it always makes sense in the end.

    Course highlights:

Learning about the creation of stars and what they create in turn was amazing. Every element, save hydrogen and helium, were made in stars! We're literally made of star stuff! I think that was my favorite threshold to learn about.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

I would suggest to do the reading and watch the videos because then it will be a lot easier to follow her lectures and understand the activities we do in class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The teacher genuinely cares about the subject and as a result excites the entire class into learning more about what she is teaching. Overall, the class is not only enjoyable but extremely useful!

    Course highlights:

The fact that the teacher truly cares about the class and her students is what makes it worthwhile. She makes it easy to connect to real life and understandable. My favorite section that we worked on so far is "Infectious Disease and the Immune System" due to the fact that we not only understood how the body works, but how illnesses attack the body and how it's a constant war!

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

I highly recommend being prepared to take notes. While there is a PowerPoint every class, some things are not on it and may end up on a quiz or test. And of course, pay attention! The class is highly enjoyable and while I personally still don't like science that much, this class allowed me to see science with new eyes and appreciate it more. I should also note that this is a science elective, available to seniors only.
