Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Meloche is a passionate professor when it comes to Botany, but not as passionate about the rest of the General Biology material. If you take this course, do your absolute best on the Mastering Biology assignments, as he does he grade them and they can have a significant impact on your grade. Also, complete the reading in advance. One final note, Dr. Meloche has a tendency of ending class well past the time it is supposed to end.

    Course highlights:

One of the highlights of the course was learning about phylogenetic trees, which is information that is important to know if one plans on taking zoology classes at Metro State University of Denver. The second and final highlight of the course was learning about the origins of animals and their characteristics.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It is in one's best interest to read the textbook in advance. Also, do not wait until the last minute to do the Mastering Biology assignments as Dr. Meloche grades them as assignments, he does not give 100s just for completion. Third, ask questions in class, as it make take sometime for you to get a reply to an email. Finally, study in advance for exams and do the review at the back of each chapter.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Professor she is a GREAT professor. Her tests are only over what is covered in her slides; the textbook is totally unnecessary.

    Course highlights:

The slideshows do cover a lot of material, so you do need to study quite a bit for her tests, but the material isn't too complicated.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

She keeps the lecture very interesting, but gets very annoyed if you talk when she is.
