Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course was engaging and thought provoking. The material was extremely interesting as it was applicable to current events. Professor Rand taught in a way that gave students the understanding of how to use certain schools of thought to analyze dilemmas. However, he left the interpretation up to the students which paved way for compelling class discussions.

    Course highlights:

In this course, I learned a great deal about unethical events that have taken place such as the Enron Scandal and the Financial Crisis of 2007. Professor Rand provided his students with a thourough analysis of case studies - which allowed students to make parallels to real world events. For example, through Kantian's approach of categorical imperatives, every human has a duty that is universally applicable. In Professor Park's management class, students keep this in mind while we analyze exciting case studies.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this course, it is important to understand why certain schools of ethical thought are more appropriate to use given the criteria. If you are having a hard time understanding each ethical approach covered in class, it is crucial to ask Professor Park for a further explanation in his office hours. Professor Park is incredibly intelligent and willing to help students succeed. Therefore, he is a great resource to use to succeed in his course and in life.
