Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Love It – I absolutely love the University of Minnesota. There are downsides, especially the cold weather, but there is so much to do and so many people to interact with that I'm glad I chose to go here.

    Course highlights:

Pretty Good – What's nice about the campus being in the city is that the public buses always go through campus. Also, they have free shuttles for students, which are perfect for when it gets cold. However, the parking costs on campus are way too expensive and not worth it to bring a car up to campus.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The restaurants on or near campus are really good, but the dining halls aren't that great. Middlebrook is considered one of the best dorms for food, but on the weekends the options are terrible and the meat is iffy.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Always parties to be found. Most people very friendly and inviting. Good mix of party scenes (greek to gdi). Not as much of a sports school as other Big 10 universities, which, for me, is A-OK. College should exist to encourage you to think critically, not to be entertainment factories.

    Course highlights:

Very easy to go between CLA majors. The requirements are nominal and often there are very few prerequisites that must be completed.I had an unpaid internship. It was essentially unpaid labor. Not cool.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Minneapolis has a ton to do if you are willing to look for it. The campus is served by a light rail that connects downtown St. Paul with downtown Minneapolis. Music venues like the Cedar Cultural Center offer very cheap world-class experimental and world music.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Its incredibly cliquey. As soon as a person from a different fraternity finds out a potential friend is apart of another fraternity, they blow them off completely. Its incredibly insane and I stay away from it.

    Course highlights:

Student involvement is great, especially at football games and basketball. The facilities are continuously being redone and a lot of money from the college goes toward them. I have never had a problem with it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Greek Life is quite large at the U of M, not as big as most Southern schools, but they provide a lot of opportunities to be a part of a larger group of people. However, they are not necessary to be in to have a good time at the U of M.
