Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

A doctor, an engineer, a teacher all need to know how to behave with those around them professionally and interpersonally. Management 3001 at the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities goes beyond academics, it provides guidance on professional, social, and personal development. This course equipped me with the proper tools and mindset to be a leader in my community.

    Course highlights:

The reason this course was so spectacular was primarily due to the professor Alan Fine. Instead of lecturing us on Management concepts from the textbook, he brought Managment to life by using his personal experiences. This brought a realistic and interesting perspective to the class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

One important piece of advice I would give to students considering this course is to pay attention to detail. Before I took this class I thought management was a broad and a common sense type of subject. However, management encompasses numerous detail oriented strategies and practices that you must pay attention to.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Very information dense course. Many new terms to get acclimated with. Tests are real world application of terms, not the definition of the terms itself.

    Course highlights:

Prof. Fine is a genuine, quirky, and nice guy. Overall, he is a fair professor. He gives you everything you need to succeed in the course, but his exams can be tough. Time management is crucial. Group projects are graded tough, with memo formatting contributing.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Start studying for a half hour after each class, starting 3 weeks out from the exams. Then study an hour or two each night the week of. The material isn't hard, there is just a good amount of it which requires repeat exposure.
