    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

    It was a very insightful course that not only improved my writing abilities, but gave me useful information to help guide me through life. The intangible lessons that I acquired throughout the semester will enable me to reach my goals by overcoming hardships and failure.

    Course highlights:

    Our class engaged in very insightful and meaningful discussion that improved each individuals perception of writing and the world as a whole. Through that, everyone was able to gain a better understanding of who they are as individuals and what is unique and different about others in the world and university.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    It is crucial to work diligently at your work and to take constructive criticism well. In order to succeed, you must make improvements on your drafts and pursue your finest work. Consistency is key.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    Maureen Aitken is a wonderful teacher who encourages and teaches her students how to improve their writing from being at a high school level to a college level.

    Course highlights:

    I learned how to improve my writing and the importance of creating an outline before writing a paper to organize my thoughts. I learned that getting an assignment done is better than getting the assignment perfect.

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    Do the readings so that you will be able to participate in class discussions. Do not procrastinate papers

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

    Professor Aitken is a great professor who is very accommodating and understanding yet also holds her students to a high standard. If you put in the work, she'll grade according to the effort you put in to it. She also takes a lot of time outside of class to discuss any difficulties you have whether it be writers block or simple grammatical problems.

    Course highlights:

    This course definitely taught me how to be a better writer, and I learned a lot about the processes involved in thorough research papers, annotated bibliographies, and narrative papers. These of which I was somewhat unaccustomed to prior to taking this course.

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

    Put it the time and effort in the course because you what you get out of this course quite honestly is what you put into it. Please also show respect towards her as she is devoted to helping all her students learn. She shows respect towards all her students, so it is only fair to give her that same respect.
