Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

As someone going into Finance and hoping to one day be in charge of my own company, this course appealed to me because it was interesting and informative. It has many real-world topics that we are bound to encounter, which really gives the class value.

    Course highlights:

We learnt about older Management techniques and why they failed, as well as topics such as motivation, leadership and how to behave in teams to make them successful.

Keep up with the readings and study for the quizzes because that really helps you keep the course material fresh. A lot of the information piles on, so it's always useful to routinely study for the class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because the content found in the course pertains very smoothly to real-world situations especially revolving around the practices of business management. This course addresses specific issues actual managers in the business realm are faced with on a daily basis and provides solutions to these difficult issues as well as establish mental mindsets a person can develop in order to reach their highest potential in their lifetimes.

    Course highlights:

Some of the highlights of the course involved doing team-based activities such as negotiating a contract dispute between two groups or creating a group presentation for the class that connected ideas and concepts from class to ideas found in an array of business books we were able to choose from. There were several strategies I learned in this class that could be used within a business setting that could actually be applied in the real-world.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Advice I would give to students considering this course is to be prepared to be engaged in daily discussions as well as be willing to work with other students in order to solve certain tasks your Professor assigns you. Also try to relate certain strategies and concepts you learn in class to situations you might encounter in a future internship or career path you decide to pursue. As long as you are willing to put in the time and effort to learn the material as well as apply it to both the exams and the rest of the work that is calculated into your grade you will do very well in MGMT 1001.
