    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course for those who are interested in being a counselor or psychiatrist as a career goal. It focuses on knowledge of diseases and disorders of the mind. It is extremely interesting but takes a lot of work.

    Course highlights:

You gain knowledge of disorders of the mind. We spend a lot of time studying personality, eatingdisorders and and psychosis. You learn what the causal factors for these disorders are, as well as the best ways to treat them. Though this is a difficult course, I feel like I have learned so much over the last 4 months.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the chapters! Though they are long and a bit hard to follow, a lot of the test questions are not covered in class. Reading the chapter along with the study guide will help you fully understand each concept. Be sure to ask questions in class if you don't understand something, chances are someone else is wondering the same thing.

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It takes many approaches to mental illnesses and it teaches us why we shouldn't judge and we should help those in need.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were learning about the schizophrenia spectrum because it is a mental illness that is still a mystery.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the assigned chapters before the lecture, ask lots of questions when you are flustered and go to the office hours.
