    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I took a writing intensive version of this course, and it has been one of the most helpful writing courses I've ever taken. While it was challenging and my work in this class wasn't perfect, there are several writing skills that I was taught in this class that I consistently use in my writing currently.

    Course highlights:

The professor in the class was tough, but respectful and thorough. I was taught how to effectively write on scientific comments in a way that was direct, and informative. I also learned the importance of peer reviewing, as that was a large part of the course. So, not only did I learn how to take criticism on my own work, but I was taught the proper way to provide constructive criticism to others.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on top of the work and don't be afraid to ask for help. There are lots of resources that are provided and I think the only way to use them successfully is to not let yourself fall behind the suggested course schedule. Because the class mainly only is graded based on exams, it's easy to put off the work so build a schedule at the beginning of the semester that will keep you on track.
