    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class to everyone, no matter if you are just looking for a class to fulfill a goal, because it is important for all citizens of the US to have some understanding of basic economics. Professor Dobis does a great job explaining and teaching the course to make it simple and easy to understand, as well as connecting it to current events to help students form connections.

    Course highlights:

In this course, I gained a basic understanding of American economics, which every individual should have some knowledge about to create a better atmosphere in our country. Some of the topics covered included, scarcity, trade, and employment.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this course, I would recommend taking thorough notes that the professor writes up on the board and looking them over a few times before the quiz. For exams, reading over notes and looking at the questions from the quizzes, both the ones that were incorrect and correct, are vital to success.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Very lecture heavy. The teacher is very smart and knows what he is talking about, but struggles breaking it down into basic concepts required for 100 level class. Prepare to take a lot of notes.

    Course highlights:

I did learn some of the basic concepts of economics that apply to daily life. The teacher is funny.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Set up weekly office visits with him to go over his notes. If you miss one concept its very hard to catch up.
