    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It is a introductory course for many science related majors, especially for Biology majors. Dr. Hart is an entertaining and passionate professor who genuinely wants her students to succeed. The course material is fairly easy because it is the groundwork for many of the other courses in Biology.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were labs. In lab, students get to work hands-on with different machines, such as compound light microscopes, and chemicals, such as Catechol and Biuret's solution. The labs allow the students to learn more about how processes work, and explore the natural world comfortably.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Studying notes from lecture is the easiest way to succeed. Dr. Hart's tests are only on what has been taught in class, and not by the textbook. Always attend class because she either will not put some lecture notes on D2L, or she may announce important adjustments to material or assignments.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Forsman knew what she was talking about and was genuinely interested in the students learning ability. If you weren't a biology major, or don't like science, this is not a good course for you because it goes more in depth than other biology intro courses.

    Course highlights:

I really enjoyed all of the cell biology incorporated into this course. It was cool to see how the body worked on a molecular and cellular level.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

If you were to take this course, be willing to study to memorize and learn, not just to get by.
