    Course Overview:

    Speech and Debate is a one-semester introductory course that covers a variety of styles of public speaking and formal debate

    Course highlights:

    Through re search and practice students will become familiar with these styles through instructi on, research, and practice. Each unit will culminate in performance assign ments that require students to demonstrate their abilities within the classroom setting.

    Gain confidence and experience in public speaking 2. Perform a variety of speeches in class t hat require expositive , persuasive, debate, parliamentary, and interpretive skills
