    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I think the class helps to get a better understanding of health assessment. The hand on application within the lab and clinical portion allows a better understanding of what we had learned in lecture. The instructors are so very helpful and want you to be successful. They also help you learn and develop the skills needed to think critically like a nurse.

    Course highlights:

I have learned how to assess a patient in a timely fashion, we have learned and developed critical thinking skills and how to think like a nurse. Looking beyond the obvious, using lab values, medications, signs and symptoms to make our nursing diagnosis.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Do not work full time, make sure you have hours of time to set aside to study. Important not to cram, study daily, going over new and old material because just because youv'e tested on it doesn't mean it goes away. All material covered is used throughout the course as well as in the future courses.
