    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The professor takes a systematic approach to a large amount of information. He teaches clearly and tests students' knowledge fairly.

    Course highlights:

I most enjoyed the cardiovascular system, but was quite impressed that we were all able to learn all of the bones and most of the muscles.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Learn the material incrementally. Don't wait until the week of the exam to try to cram all of the anatomical information.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Donna Burge is a fun and interesting professor. A horse vet of 25 years she knows so much about anatomy and physiology through her own schooling and work experience. She is a no-nonsense professor yet is very fair and will challenge you to learn more and to pursue a career in something that you feel fulfilled doing. I took BIO 141 with her and even though I didn't need it took 142 with her as well just to learn more about our facinating bodies and because I enjoy learning from her.

    Course highlights:

I gained a strong basis for the human body and understanding its functions, and the correlation to its structure. I gained a confidence in researching via scientific studies and challenging myself to push harder and learn more then just want we went over in class and labs. The coolest part of the class was being chosen to make an honors project.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study, do the work Donna Burge assigns to you, and do some extra work out of class just to get a complete understanding of everything that you learn

    Advice for students:

Study and do your homework, and the rest will come with time.
