Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is a great class about Robert Greenleaf's idea of a leader who serves his/her followers. The organization is healthier, consists of satisfied employees and a good relationship between the leader and their employees. It is a very beneficial course and several of the servant leadership qualities can be incorporated into your own leadership model.

    Course highlights:

Servant Leadership addresses Rober Greenleaf's ideology of a leader who is a servant to their employees/followers. Students learn about different types of leadership models such as adaptive leadership, autocratic leadership, authoritative leadership, laissez-fair leadership, situational leadership, spiritual leadership, servant-leadership, charismatic leadership, transformational leadership, etc. Students also will create their own leadership model.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Be sure to read all of the course material for the week. There is a group assignment and it is best to have one of the group lead it and submit your portion early so it will be turned in on time. There is also a peer review/grade on other members of your group. Make sure to participate to get a good grade.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study hard and do not wait until last minute to write your essays.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Although this class is extremely difficult, it is very rewarding at the same time. Dr. Oke is a tough but loving teacher. There may be other professors but you will not learn the value of the material like Dr. Oke teaches it. We did many group projects and also did an amazing community service project of our choice.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the different aspects of being a leader and what being a leader entails. Being a servant leader is the leader of all leaders. Being a successful manager requires you to be a servant leader. Someone who can lead, but serve their employees to meet their needs in the organization.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

TAKE THIS COURSE. Although it is required for a management degree, for those of you wanting a elective that will change the way you see an organization as a leader.
