Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course does a good job scaffolding the assignment to build on one concept to next within each module. The class is built to give students the opportunity to a diverse style of task to learn how to use multiple resources in order to effectively teach social studies. Several types of resources were introduced that teachers can use at their disposals to be effective social studies teachers.

    Course highlights:

The main idea about teaching social studies that I learned was the definition of what learning social studies is all about. Teaching social studies involves using multiple disciplines in one lesson to assist students in understanding the unit topic being covered. The course curriculum also instructs that effective social studies teachers will use other curriculum disciplines such as math or science in order to teach a social studies lesson. This course helps students to learn to do just that.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Students should be prepared to manage their time effectively because this course is an online course that is 8 weeks long. The information is crammed into a two month window and there is a lot of reading material and writing assignments. So, be prepared to spend a lot of time researching information to complete tasks in this assignment.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

She was so helpful. The course has a few group assignment. My advice is to create one group leader for the entire class and give everyone a job. Get started on Monday and Tuesday with a plan, so you have 4 days to get the projects done before Sunday/ deadline.

    Course highlights:

I learned the Social Studies is ignored as a subject. Although as a teacher, you can be creative with the lesson to keep the students attention.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Remain calm, read the textbook, and keep a open communication in your class group.
