    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This was honestly my favorite class I've taken since I've been at Grand Canyon. Professor Valenti is an excellent teacher and the way she goes about teaching the class is the best I've seen. She really engages in lectures and makes psychology so much more interesting than what it is. The power points are very fun, exciting, and informative and overall the class made me love psychology.

    Course highlights:

My favorite part of the course was the powerpoints. Almost every slide had some funny and interesting images that made the class engaged and interested every time we met up for class. This class was also what we call a "blended class", which means every other Thursday (this was a Tuesday/Thursday course), we would not have to come to class and would just complete a worksheet from home for class credit. I learned a lot about all of the famous psychologists & their experiements and theories, drugs, mental and physical disorders, and many more interesting aspects about psychology I never would have thought even had to do with psychology. The course teaches you some practical tools that can be used in your everyday life that students will find very interesting. I learned some interesting facts about myself like what my personality features mean, what type of study methods are best for me, and even genetic findings about my family as well.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed, go to class! The class is only two days a week so it won't hurt you to always go. This is not your typical boring 2-hour lecture class, its way more intriguing with Professor Valenti teaching. She's very young, vibrant, and exciting and shows how eager she is to teaching her students. Another important tool is to take notes. She does not post her powerpoints online and teaches at a fast pace so your notes are essential on getting key points. A study tip I would give is to go through notes taken in the powerpoint and go back through the book for anything you feel is important. Usually before quizzes she'll post a study guide with exact terms needed, so please use that as well.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend the course because it is essential to learn psychology. However, being an introvert, the class can seem a bit uncomfortable. The teacher is very kind but she likes to do a lot of activities involving other people. While this is nice if you wish to get to know others, it can also be uncomfortable if you prefer to work alone.

    Course highlights:

By taking this course i was able to learn about all the different things that go on within an individuals mind. I was able to see many video clips during the class that helped me truly understand how our topics we were learning related to everyday life. Additionally I learned many things that I can actually apply to my life outside of the class , which makes this course truly valuable.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The text book, even though it is long, its very helpful for doing well in this course. Reading the chapters ahead will help. Participation is important, so showing up always is good. Also the study guides, if done right and studied, will help greatly with the test.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class was a lot of fun and the teacher made it super interesting.

    Course highlights:

The different disorders were interesting. I learned many things about the brain and the dysfunctions that can occur.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study a couple days before the quizzes so you don't cram it all in one day.
