    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to psychology students, because it gives you a basic understanding of experiments and journal articles. Building up that it also applies ethical standards and reasoning to these articles and studies.

    Course highlights:

I learned what makes a experiment ethical or unethical. I learned how authors writing articles can use studies unethically to support a claim or opinion, so it's important to find those specific studies and see if they are actually reliable and valid.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I was able to get through this course with reading the text quickly. It's hard not to get caught up on the weekly reading assignments, but it's more important to actually understand the key concepts in the course. If you are planning on getting a degree in psychology it is important to know what makes articles and experiments ethically sound to support your own research.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to a psychology major because it is required in order to graduate, it is pat of the core class curriculum for psychology majors. However, if a person does not need it, then I would not recommend it because it is more difficult and may not be necessary if a student is thinking in terms of their GPA.

    Course highlights:

I learned methods of psychological research and the ethics that are followed and contained within research projects. I also learned of some psychological studies that were flawed and how scientists or research psychologists learned from those mistakes.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would consider a student taking this course to be aware of your professor's teaching style. Make sure to read the text book, start assignments early, and do your best to understand each method.
