Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It was not a super difficult class, Professor Itami does not grade to harshly, and the material was interesting.

    Course highlights:

This course gave me a general understanding of biology, which set a good foundation for bio 2. There was a lot of emphasis on the cell cycle.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

If you take the course with itami, read the textbook, she writes the exams off the book, not off her lectures.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The reason I have no strong feelings in either way is because the course i every interesting and easy to love but you have to have a professor that makes it a good time. With the bad experience of professors that I had, I did not enjoy it and it actually affected me so much that I changed my Biology major to Health Care.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was how many different aspects are covered. You start with the basic definitions of biology and eventually get all the way into why people have brown hair or why some people are blind and others aren't. It makes it fun.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Be ready to take a lot of notes!! Every lecture you are taking at least a page and a half of notes. Not only take notes in class but on the homework and required readings. Just always take notes!!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Stevenson was a little hard but taught well.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was the way she emulated her information. She tried to incorporate different learning styles. I've learned the fundamental basics of biology due to her.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to study and spend a lot of time looking at her notes.
