    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course because it is very thorough in explaining the basics of psychology and it's history. Another one of my professors always says that if you learn the principles you wont struggle to learn new things because they all build off of one another. That's exactly what this course provided for me, a sturdy grasp on the principles of psychology.

    Course highlights:

Some highlights include an engaging professor, the choice to either read or attend class, and a comprehensive study guide that made sure you put your effort into learning the key concepts. Some concepts you'll learn in this course include: famous psychology figures, types of psychology, sorts of psychological disorders, and methods of research used in psychology.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Given that it's a general credit use ratemyprofessor to ensure you get a professor you'll enjoy. By doing this the course is made much more enjoyable and easier to learn. Also, establish if you're an in class note taker or reader of the book; use your time effectively.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course if anyone is even a little bit interested in the study of people and how we operate. You may be surprised at all the new aspects you learn!

    Course highlights:

One highlight of this course was that you were required to participate in psychological studies conducted by other UMD students. This helped me grasp a better understanding of the major I had chosen to study.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Try not to procrastinate and study more than just the day before the test.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class explore the inner cognitive processes that everyday people encounter. Being able to gain perspective into how your own mind works is extremely fascinating, and Dr. Apostal engages students in learning. Definitely recommend this course and instructor for all students.

    Course highlights:

When learning about brain function, I was able to look further into how my brain structures work on their own as well as together. I learned even more through the chapters about some concepts that applied directly to me and I took them into consideration and modified many of my habits.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Attend the lecture, most of the test questions come from topics discussed in class.
