Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is an interesting course and Dr. Itami has a wealth of information. I took the course during her first semester of teaching and at the time she was not a very good communicator. The subject is interesting though and there as potential to learn a lot. I was told before taking the class that per the department of BIOL the professors are REQUIRED to fail a certain amount of students in this course. Study hard!

    Course highlights:

I liked learning about the scientific method and I liked that Dr. Itami tried to stress how evolution is intertwined into everything. "Form follows function."

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

As I mentioned above, they are required to fail some students. Just know that and put in a lot of effort and you will be fine. The tests were harder than I expected.

    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course if you are ready to study many hours a week. This was a very tough course for me, and I found myself staying home most weekends to study. It was worth it in the end when I received the grade I was hoping for however.

    Course highlights:

What didn't I learn? Everything from micro details about DNA all the way to evolution and natural selection. This course covers a lot of information in a relatively short amount of time. Although it is tough, its really neat to learn about.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Study, study, study, and don't let yourself fall behind! Once you fall behind it is 10 times harder to catch up and understand what is going on.
