    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Boggs has to be one of the most influential teachers I have had at Jacksonville State University so far! She makes this class, along with the many others she teaches, fun and relatable. We do a lot of hands on work that make it so realistic and relatable to our majors. I love learning about what makes a person walk into a store and the different methods used to catch a buyer's eye, how to make a garment look it's best, and what to use to do all of this! Mrs. Boggs genuinely cares about her student's success.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were/are definitely the projects. Creating our own displays really helped me learn just how to arrange things in a tasteful manner. I experimented with different color schemes and I don't think you get then same affect by just reading off a power-point of notes. I would definitely suggest this course to someone that likes hands on learning and wants to go into merchandising/marketing.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would suggest to really put time and effort into your projects. Pay attention to detail and really apply the things you learn in class on your projects. This is not an "easy A" class, but if you take it seriously your grade will reflect your work and you will also benefit yourself tremendously.
