Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Contrary to what pretty much everyone told me, I took Dr. Helms for general chemistry. It turned out to be the best thing I could have done for myself. I'm terrible at chemistry and have a pretty tough time truly understanding most of it, but Dr. Helms related material to the class in a way that I could get it.
A big highlight to taking his class was the time he took to explain everything. The majority of the chemistry faculty don't really "dumb it down" for non-majors to grasp information, but Helms does a good job making it easier for us non-chemistry majors to get most everything.

Advice for students:
Most people told me not to take Helms for chemistry, that he was too tough. I decided to ignore them and it worked out. Don't go by what everyone else says and it may work for you.
