    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you don't need to take this course to graduate or count towards your major, I wouldn't recommend it. It takes a lot of time to do labs and to study for the tests.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the basic aspects of chemistry and gained the base knowledge of chemistry to build on later.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read your textbook, but also read your notes. Attending study sessions with others also helps. The more ways you can look at chemistry, the better you can understand it.

    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Zack is a great professor and presents the material very clearly, and he provided good notes. Gen Chem provides a way for a student to gauge their interest in chemistry or biology.

    Course highlights:

Taking this course made me change my major from computer science to chemistry. It really stimulated my interest for chemistry.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you're thinking about majoring in chemistry or a related course, I would highly recommend this course to gauge your interest in the subject.
