Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is required for most UMM students. I would recommend taking it with Jon Anderson because he truly cares about his students and will work with you on anything you need help with. He is a tougher grader but is fair in his grading standards.

    Course highlights:

I gained more knowledge on how research is analyzed which helps me to be able to tell the difference between good data and not valid data. This is a very useful skill because research is everywhere and in virtually every profession so it is good to understand what the data is telling you and how the researchers got there.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would definitely go to PAL sessions or the sessions that Jon offers in the evenings to get homework help! You need to study for this class to get a good grade.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Statistics is a course every human needs to take. We are constantly shown research, but most of it is crap. Statistics will give us the knowledge to determine if a product or treatment is worth taking.

    Course highlights:

Professor Jon Anderson was definitely a highlight. He is the funniest, most intelligent person I know. He will make you laugh while challenging you to step up to your full potential. I learned a lot from him during the semester.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell future students to go to every study session. I would also tell them to visit with Jon if they do not understand how something works. Also, commit to your homework! You will do great if you study hard and try to learn!
